Clarke Quay

The main shopping streets of Clarke Quays in Singapore form a cruciform the longest part of which is almost 1km. With Alsop we developed an EFTE roof to cover the main streets.

The important part of the development is the columns supporting the roof we configured as environmental moderates known as ‘angels’.

By utilizing stack effect combined with mechanical venting them allied with variable shading foil cushions the temperatures and air movement at street level are modified for more comfort.
