The Hive, Worcester Library & Art Centre

Worcester Library and History Centre – Replacing 250 tonnes of steel from the roof with cross laminated timber and in addition to the saving in steel there was an estimated saving of 2 months of design work. The corners of the roof ‘boxes’ use a glulam beam within the plane of the roof giving a seamless inner surface whilst stitching all the panels together.
