We’re Hiring - Senior Engineer
We present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join an established multi-award-winning design engineering consultancy of approximately 20 in Farringdon, London. Atelier One has built a world-class reputation for ingenuity and innovation in the field of structural engineering. We specialise in unique projects across the world, ranging from rock and roll stage sets to challenging architectural structures, sculptures to special effects.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong design capabilities and the ability to take a lead role in a variety of pioneering projects, both in the UK and abroad. This position will require you to define the fundamental principles of a structure, contribute to design ideas, complete full design calculations and represent Atelier One at design team meetings. You will also be involved in client communications and project management, guiding junior engineers and technicians while actively contributing to office responsibilities.
As a Senior Engineer, we require:
· The ability to define fundamental principles of a structure and contribute design ideas.
·Strong technical proficiency with the ability to independently produce high-quality calculations.
·The ability to represent Atelier One at design team meetings and communicate effectively with clients on a regular basis.
·Experience in managing projects, including programming work for yourself and junior engineers/technicians.
· A proactive approach to volunteering for additional office responsibilities, such as organising CPD events.
·A willingness to provide technical support to junior colleagues as required.
·A desire to work on unusual and technically challenging projects.
·A strong interest in structures and the built environment.
·A solid understanding of CLT and general timber construction, along with experience in designing concrete and steel structures.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
